All of our wool comforters are soft, known to be lightweight and very cozy. The inside is filled with 100% Australian wool. 100% organic cotton Jacquard fabric with a 300 thread count to encase the comforter. No "sheep smell". We are also awarded with Woolmark certification for our 100% pure wool filling. Woolmark is recognized throughout the whole world as a symbol of high quality and reliability and specifies that the product exceeds the global standards for pure wool filling. Stringent testing for quality, chemical and oil content, and product performance must comply with the high standards set by Woolmark before a manufacturer can apply Woolmark label to its products. Wool is an all natural fiber that has been around and studied for hundreds of years. It is an excellent and all natural alternative in comparison to the present day polyester and synthetic fiber filled comforters on the market. Use this comforter throughout the winter period due to its ability to release and trap heat. Wool does not attract lint or dust, as it tends to ground static electricity. The fibers of the wool naturally resist and prevent dust mites, mold and mildew from forming over time, a problem you would have to think about when purchasing a cellulose based comforter. You will appreciate these benefits if you suffer from allergies and restless sleep due to stuffy nose. They can be machine washed in cold water followed by a delicate drying cycle at low temperature. Additional fluffing can be attained by a separate fluff up cycle after drying.
